This is a great little story about how some Norwegian children helped smuggle gold out of Nazi- occupied Norway by using their sleds. They hid the gold on top of their sleds, under some blankets and then sat on top of them and slid past the Nazi soldiers to a nearby bay where a ship was hidden. The story is told from the viewpoint of the 12 year old boy who is their leader. The story may or may not be true, but it is a common story coming out of WWII. I really liked it and so did Kate when she read it. The children are very couragious and the novel is pretty suspenseful. I would definitely recommend it to anyone. I listened to it on CD and it was really well done.
